Field Care Supervisor
Salary: Depending on experience
Holidays: 28 paid days per year
SUMMARY OF FIELD CARE SUPERVISOR POST:
Responsible for the efficient running of an area and management/supervision of Care/Support Workers. Implementing Service User needs assessments, risk assessments and risk management plans, Support/care plans and reviews.
Main Responsibilities
- Implementation of quality control procedures
- Ensuring all calls permanently assigned
- To carry out Service User assessments, including needs assessments, risk assessments and risk management plans.
- Attending Service User’s first call to introduce the Care/Support Worker to the Service User
- To liaise closely with Care Co‑ordinators to ensure correct Service User/Care/Support Worker matching for new Service Users
- To be able to allocate unassigned calls to existing care staff.
- To organise and attend Service User reviews
- To implement all field based training programmes
- To ensure that all changes to care schedules are reported, without delay, to the care co-ordinators
- To maintain all reporting and recording procedures are up to date
- To liaise closely with Care Co‑ordinators, Care Manager, Service Users and Care/Support Workers
- To identify, recruit, train and develop a suitable deputy
- To participate in the on‑call responsibilities
- To assess Care/Support Workers again Skills for Care Common Induction Standards
Essential
Qualifications
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or working towards.
- Training in health and safety risk assessment.
Experience
- Experience of service provision in the care profession.
- Experience of Service User needs assessment and care planning
- Understanding of quality control procedures
Skills/Attributes
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good administrative skills.
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Sound understanding of good care principles.
- To be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- To be able to prepare reports as required.
- To be able to prioritise and organise own workload effectively.
- To be able to liaise effectively with office staff
Additional Requirements
- Ability to cope with pressure.
Desirable
Qualifications
- Experience of field care supervising within the care profession
- A1/V1 Assessor/Verifier qualification.
Experience

- To have a working knowledge of Health and Safety.
- To be able to implement all field based training
